We are delighted to announce that GKRE has won the Broker Deal of the Year award at the Global Coworking UnConference (GCUC) 2019 Awards for our Theobald’s Road deal.
The deal, completed in March 2019, saw the successful completion of both a joint venture management agreement on 11,500 sq ft of space and a traditional lease on 4,000 sq ft of space at 12–18 Theobald’s Road in central London. The innovative deal structure, considered the first of its kind, involved two separate deals on behalf of flexible workspace provider The Boutique Workplace Company.
GKRE identified the period property as a perfect fit for The Boutique Workplace Company’s unique selling point and design ethos. The judges agreed this further demonstrated the expertise of GKRE – where matching the right flexible operator with the right building and landlord is vital to determining the success of any joint venture management agreement – as well as GKRE’s knowledge of the sector proved to be pivotal in this.
