The 169,710 sq. ft. of London office space we acquired on behalf of clients last year put us amongst the UK’s leading agents and shows the growing impact the serviced office sector is having on the office market.
We believe there will be a similar level of growth this year both in London and in the rest of the country. Our in depth knowledge of the serviced office market and understanding of our clients’ requirements makes us well placed to find more opportunities this year. We will also continue to work alongside other commercial agents using our specialist expertise in the sector.
The deals we secured for clients covered all areas of the capital including the City, West End and Midtown. Highlights included the acquisition of 26,000 sq.ft. for Avanta Serviced Office Group in Eagle House, City Road, EC1, 22,745 sq.ft. in Tallis House, EC4 for Regus and 14,500 sq.ft. at 42 Upper Berkeley Street, W1 on behalf of Clarendon Business Centres.
More than 14m sq.ft. of office space was signed up for in London in 2014, the highest amount for more than a decade. The most space was transacted in the City (4.7m sq.ft.) followed by the West End (3.1m sq.ft.), though Docklands showed the biggest year-on-year uplift with take up doubling compared to 2013.
